Understanding learner characteristics is an important issue for providing individualized learning support, however, many of current researches analyzed learners’ characteristics by analyzing questionnaires. In this study, we defined of learner characteristics as a fusion of learning styles and learning behavior patterns (learning habits). Through analysis of large-scale learning logs and learning style questionnaires, we identify the characteristics of individual learners. We are developing a system that recommends individualized digital learning materials based on the characteristics of each learner.
